i sit patiently.
patiently anticipating the arrival of an old friend. an old friend who is never here for the best of times, only the worst. the days that drag on as if my battered and broken body is being violently pulled through the dusty streets. being dragged while fellow men blindly look on. i try to yell out. my raspy cries, poignantly sobbing for someone, a friend? he appears, an old friend, and i'm back to being patient once more.
