My inspiration for the day has come from this phenomenal HBO documentary "Dark Light." It centers around a select few photographers who are visually impaired. It's fantastic, and interesting beyond belief. The courage and creativity of these photographers is unbelievable. The photographs shown, all have an ethereal quality to them and binds them as a whole. Some of the images aren't necessarily what I find esthetically pleasing, but the story behind it makes me take a second look. Henry Butler is a solid photographer and musician from NoLa who survived Hurricane Katrina, while his instruments, and cameras did not. Pete Eckert uses long exposure settings while he paints with light, and stacks the layers of his photographs like building blocks. Bruce Hall's underwater images are a vision (...) The soundtrack boasts Dr. John, The Meters, Henry Butler, and John Frusciante. KEWL
