NYC x TR

With an overcast transition and NY fashion week clouding my judgement, I can't think of a better way to spend the morning than perusing Terry's online diary.

Charles Bradley... Where did you come from? (I know the obvious answer is Flo Rida, but c'mon)

The show? Phenomenal. The outfits? Surprising, and creative. The backup band? Uhhhh, who? (Jk, they were great)

Charles Bradley is a genuine human being, and it was an honor to see him perform. The highlight of the night (minus the tunes) would have to be him embracing/listening to any member of the audience who wanted a chance to fill him in on how groovy he was. After speaking with each individual, he humbly thanked them and let single drops of holy water fall from his eyes, no hanky needed. The set list was good, and I would've have expected nothing less from the 63 year old gentleman. On a side note, I was able to fit in some work out time jogging to grab some more film in between songs (or so I thought). I ended up missing "The World (Is Going Up In Flames)," I was unaware until he finished his encore... Whatever, I WAS IMPRESSED. *

*This should have been Nate Dogg's memorial show.

Warren G was embarrassing. Since when are songs clocked in at 00:00:17?

DISAPPOINTING!

The expression on the faces of the bouncers almost made up for the rapid change over in songs. They were waiting the entire summer for this show. They could act like REAL men of duty. Hustlin' people out, running around chasing dat sticky icky smell...It aint a real rap concert without a kush haze, you know. I miss you Nate Dogg, you deserve better.

See you @ the next show!
