pdx gon' give it to ya

stretched out plans and shortened shirts.
gallons of whiskey to go with the hats,
boots to match.

portland is a city beyond belief.
the fact that it doesn't smell like body and stale thai food aside, it's a community. supportive, airy, and all around interesting. local joints offering anything from gf 8 bean lemon roasted salmon salad to a pint of pabst with a shot of espresso in it.
i took a walk across the bridge to check out vintage pink and the other dozen vintage shops and was immediately impressed, and a little overwhelmed. (coming from a city that counts value village as it's go-to, almost anything is a step up. just sayin) i picked up more silver and turquoise jewelery, a jesus tapestry, and a james brown record all in the same shop. also collected on the trip, a where's waldo? polaroid camera, numerous buttons, and a green velvet dress that screeams holidaze.

p-town also brought by far the most energetic/enthusiastic/enjoyable (more eee) show of the tour. both blue giant and the dandys were solid, and the images taken were by far my favorite. a great show ending with about 120 people on stage from bg/dw. the only thing that could've chased the show was everyone piling to hang after. wine flowed freely and conversations became not only deeper, but louder. sadly/thankfully ending once the day broke, it was the only way the tour should have ended.
