The cheers of the arena filled audience was more deafening than a howling tornado. The Ed Hardy sporting Elton made the audience scream for 5+ mins post encore, which is saying a lot considering this group is all 65 years my senior...
Feeling the breeze blowing crowd with open ears plugged is an unimaginable feeling.
Not only did Sir Elton sign shirts from the stage but also invoked all the swamp rats to sing crocodile rock for him while he barely tried to stifle a smile and a laugh.
I only caught the last hour, with nothing but the camera on my blackberry. The ad-libbed lyrics and shout outs to his son kept my attention nonetheless. The suite was wonderful but if Elton John can get on top of his keys in a heartbeat, the least i can do is run down to the floor in time for "benny and the jets". The perfect way to spend 02/14.
I am willing to overlook the gnomeo and juliet plug for three reasons:
1. i used that word play myself
2. it's his "last tour," the man has to make cabbage some how
3. i'm forgiving on v-day (apparently)
Happy Valentines
- CBG, adrienjamal, and Elton John.
